About Play-based Learning

Community kindys have a strong emphasis on play-based learning.  Through engaging, play-based activities, children build important skills in socialising, communication, emotional development, motor skills and problem solving.

Literacy and numeracy skills are incorporated into innovative and engaging play so that children find learning interesting and most importantly, fun!

Research shows that play-based programs for young children provide a strong foundation for later success at school. Play-based programs support the development of socially competent learners who are able to face challenges and find solutions.

Our play-based educational programs:

  • encourage language skills
  • support pre-literacy skills
  • encourage problem-solving
  • develop social and emotional capabilities
  • foster creativity and imagination
